Assessment of Improved Management Practices in Mandarin Orchards

The study evaluated the adoption of improved orchard management practices among 64 mandarin-growing households in Dhankuta. Out of 64 surveyed households, 49 (76.6%) were classified as adopters of improved practices.

Practices assessed included irrigation (98.4% adoption), pruning (95.3%), micronutrient application (14.4%), liming (9.4%), and mulching (3.1%). Household education level showed a statistically significant association with adoption (p = .025), while gender (p = .310) and tree population (p = .259) were not statistically significant.
